Lg has several instructional videos on youtube which are very easy to follow. To convert this dryer to side venting you would need a vent kit as illustrated in the first image below. I did some research and found out that while the default is for the vent to come out the back of the dryer it can also be configured to come out either side. Your new dryer is shifted to vent to the rear.
